Pamela Chappell & All God's Children ChoirBrown Paper TicketsPamela Chappell and the All God’s Children Community Choir present an afternoon performance for everyone, from ages 0 to 120! The All God’s Children Community Choir is a multiracial, multicultural group of talented and enthusiastic children and teens, ages 4 to 18, drawn from many different communities in Southwest Michigan. Led by a multiethnic team of directors, the Choir is now in its 13th year, inspiring audiences with its message of brotherhood and sisterhood, unity, friendship, peace and respect for all people. (www.allgodschildrenchoir.blogspot.com)

Since the Choir’s initial performance at the Race Relations Council Awards Program in 2001, All God’s Children has performed on more than 100 occasions. These special events have included performances at Lake Michigan College and Andrews University to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; a special Habitat for Humanity performance for former President Jimmy Carter; concerts in Grand Rapids and Traverse City for state and national teachers’ conferences; joint appearances with the Chicago Children’s Choir in Michigan and Chicago; a Holiday Traditions concert with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra and Metropolitan Opera Star Angela Brown; and performances with renowned professional musicians Tom Chapin, Josh White, Jr., Gemini, LaRon Williams, Nikki Harris, Peter Yarrow, and Pamela Chappell (with whom All God’s Children recorded an award-winning CD, A Little Sunshine). In 2013, the choir released its own CD, titled All God’s Children, with a special guest appearance by Pamela Chappell.

Choir rehearsals are held two or more times each month, at a variety of locations throughout Southwest Michigan (churches, a synagogue, public libraries, community centers, children’s museums, a local art center). Each rehearsal is followed by a shared meal, often prepared and served by volunteer teams of choir parents and grandparents.

All God’s Children collaborates with the Citadel Dance and Music Center to provide selected choir members with scholarships for individual voice lessons with Paul Mow, nationally renowned tenor and voice teacher at the Citadel Dance and Music Center.

The All God’s Children Community Choir is led by Co-Founders and Coordinators Sandy and Larry Feldman, Directors Hursel Cole, Corey Hampton, and Stephanie Ng, and Assistant Director Kortney Moore. For additional information about All God’s Children, please contact Sandy and Larry Feldman at 269-469-0539 or online at sandyandlarryfeldman@hotmail.com.

Pamela Chappell, a performer from the tender age of 8, has sung her way into the hearts of countless people in a wide range of venues. Her music is acoustic with a strong folk influence, and shades of jazz and blues. She has also performed standards, pop, and show tunes, and has graced the stage as a fine actor in dozens of productions. She has a wide repertoire of children’s music too, and loves singing with and for people of all ages. (www.pamelachappell.com)

Pamela’s album with the All God’s Children Community Choir, A Little Sunshine, is a very special CD for the whole family – with warm emphasis on kids. It is chocked full of songs – (25 of ‘em!) that entertain, teach, soothe, and excite. There are songs about the swimming, hobos, garbage, socks, sand castles, the Underground Railroad, blueberries, peace, and more.
